First you need to get all of your materials. You don't need a lot and can find it all at any craft store. You will need wax, wicks, a thermometer, a melting pot, liquid color, scents and molds.

Start by choosing a good mold for your candles. It is best to start out with something simple. Pillar molds or just your basic shapes work well.

After your candle wax has melted, you are going to need to add the scent and the coloring for your candle. A traditional pillar candle or other basic shape will need about a pound of wax for it to work the right way. Add all of these things, and stir, pouring into the mold.

After you have the wax melted you can stir in the fragrance and color. Go easy on the fragrance. If you add too much the candle won't burn properly.

Finally, you pour it into the mold and let it cool. Now you have created your own scented candle! It is possible to learn how to make scented candles! Keep making more and experiment with different waxes, scents and colors. You will be pumping out beautiful, homemade scented candles in no time!
