Most computer users are familiar with newer versions of their favorite software program coming on the market. With each new version you are usually guaranteed something new and exciting and this is certainly true with Adobe software programs. A common misbelief is that older versions will no longer work and I am very glad to say that this is completely untrue. Older versions of updated software will continue to perform just as they always did. Unfortunately you will not receive any of the newer features or upgraded support elements unless you update your software.

Adobe first created the Photoshop photo editing software and it soon became evident that it needed a ?lite? version for those who only wanted photo editing capabilities without the bells and whistles that accompany Photoshop. Because of this, Photoshop Elements was created so people can easily edit their photos without needing loads of training first.

As with most programs, Elements has been reworked a few times and Adobe is currently releasing version 7. In my opinion Adobe Elements 7 is probably the smartest version of Elements ever. With version 7 Adobe has increased the number of tools available, making it more closely resemble the professional version of Photoshop. Now, when using Photoshop Elements, you are able to edit your photos just as if you had done it professionally with the Photoshop software.

The user-interface, or desktop, is another change which makes the program more user friendly than previous versions. Now, if you are still currently using earlier versions of Adobe Elements you might be wondering what the new features include.

Included in Elements 7 is an organizer which allows you to label your images so you can easily sort and find them whenever you need them. This also enables you to be working on a variety of images simultaneously. Another new feature is the fix button. This feature gives you all of the most commonly used tools when you are editing an image. Some of the common tools you will use repeatedly include the smudge, blur and sharpen tool.

If you enjoy making personalized items you will especially enjoy the create panel which helps you create items such as calendars, slideshows, etc. To use this feature you simply need to drag your image to the create panel and then decide on which project you would like to make. It is an incredible tool for making personalized gifts for friends and family.

The most impressive feature on Adobe Elements 7 is the share feature. With this feature you will be able to share your photo albums via the Internet using programs like face book and other community networks. You will also be able to send your image using the share feature via e-mail. If you wish to save your images on removable media the share feature allows you to copy your images on CD/DVD.

These are just some of the new features that are in Adobe Elements 7 which make it different from the other versions.
