Adrian Peterson versus Cleveland Browns. The quest for two thousand yards begins in Cleveland. Look for Peterson to get the ball hasty and regularly and rip up this Browns' defense for over 150 yards and two scores. Mangini's impact will undoubtedly make for a further regimented defensive unit in 2009, although it won't take place in week 1 and it will not happen against the best |fantasy football running back.

Maurice Jones-Drew against. the Colts. Check in prior to game time, but if MJD is past his shin bruise he was hit with in the preseason finish, expect him to rip apart this small Colts' defensive unit. Essentially, he's consistently come up huge when playing against Indianapolis, and this time he will not be sharing reps with Fred Taylor. 100 rush yards and a minimum of one touchdown.

Pierre Thomas vs. Detroit. Thomas ought to have a lot of chances to run with the football versus Detroit after New Orleans jumps out to a large lead. And going against a defensive unit that ranks at the bottom of the league, 100 rushing yards with a TD or 2 seems definitely within reach.

Michael Turner vs Miami. The Falcons and their high octane offense begin the season against last year's season's Cinderella team, the Miami Dolphins. And look for Atlanta to stay with what made the team so good a year ago: the rush. Turner should acquire the football at a minimum of twenty five times during this one and that must be adequate to hit the century mark with a minimum of one touchdown.

Cedric Benson versus Denver Broncos. The interior of the Broncos defense this past year had a hole as large as the Atlantic Ocean, and they did not do much to address it this offseason. Benson ended off 2008 exceptionally strong and will try to resume where he ended off. A good fantasy sleeper play in week one.

Chris "Beanie" Wells versus the San Francisco 49ers. Wells will have a chance to kick off his playing days with a bang versus the san francisco 49ers. While the 49ers boast a strong set of linebackers, their defensive line is small, and this means that the Arizona offensive line will have a chance to get hold of to the second level and create nice running lanes for Wells.
